"For me, the Miss RKL contest extends beyond the crown. In fact it offers an opportunity to advocate for peace and harmony in the state which is the need of the hour," the newly crowned Miss Raphei said, hinting on the prevailing unrest in the state.

"I have experienced the suffering and pain of the hapless as I visited orphanage homes, rehab centres and old-age homes as a social work trainee. That's how I realised I must become a professional social worker and uplift the marginalised section of the society so that they can live and lead a healthy and happy life", she continued.

Pursuing first year Bachelor of Social Work at Don Bosco Maram, the 20-year old Ngalanim represented the Chingai Katamnao Long.

Cultivated a passion for travelling, she is open to learning new things and keeps herself updated by reading books.
