The week-long celebration, an annual highlight for the college, opened with a welcome address by Principal Fr. Dr. Parvis John who highlighted the significance of College Week as an opportunity for students to showcase their talents in various fields, including sports, cultural activities, and academic competitions. He also thanked the Archbishop for his continued support and guidance to the institution.

In his inauguration speech, Rev. Dr. Linus Neli D.D commended the institution for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of education in fostering both intellectual and moral growth in students.

He encouraged the young minds to strive for excellence not only in academics but also in values, urging them to be responsible citizens and contribute to the welfare of society. He also congratulated the management and the faculty members for producing toppers in university examinations conducted by the Manipur University.

The inauguration was followed by a Rongmei Traditional Harvest song and Dance by the students and faculty members, showcasing the diversity and enthusiasm of the college. This was followed by a cover of Shakira’s “Waka Waka” by Nimyophy Mahung. Competitions such as Choir, Duet, Declamation, Choreography were taken up as well.  Various literary competitions, sports events, and cultural performances are scheduled throughout the week, promising a memorable experience for all participants.

In his Vote of Thanks, Fr. Joseph Thohrii, thanked the students and faculty members who had dedicated their time to make this event successful. He also extended his gratitude to the invited judges, special guests, media personnel and others.

College Week 2024 is set to conclude on October 26, with a closing ceremony and prize distribution for the winners of the various events.
