During the inaugural programme of three-day inter college youth fest, vice-chancellor of MU, Naorem Lokendra said that the youth festival is for capacity building and for overall empowerment of individuals.

In this festival, 25 colleges will be competing in various fields including fine-arts, dance, music among others. The festival is organised under the sponsorship of Association of Indian Universities.

Dean of Students Welfare, MU, M Premjit said the festival is to promote art and culture, foster the idea of brotherhood and bring about emotional integration among the students of different communities through cultural activities.

The major features of the festival include Music, dance, theatre, quiz, fine arts, debate and elocution.
