Manipur Unrest: AIMS submits memorandum to education minister

AIMS appealed to the minister to take necessary steps for victim students and provide them with different identity cards by the authorities concerned.

The Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) has submitted a memorandum to the Education Minister of Manipur for the internally displaced students in the relief camps following the sudden ethnic clash in the state on May 3, 2023.

In a release on Friday, AIMS appealed to the minister to take up necessary steps for the victim students and provide them with different identity cards by the authorities concerned.

It also urged the state government not to charge any processing fees for the displaced students registered at the Board of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM), Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), Dhanamanjuri University and Manipur University while reissuing their certificates and documents.

It further urged for providing all the necessary books and stationery items for the victim students free of cost. The release also mentioned that the education minister has assured to fulfil their demands at the earliest.
