Manipur University, Canchipur on Wednesday invited online applications for the admission to the MA/MSc/MCom/ MCA/MLIS/MPES/LLM/MFA/MVoc/B.Ed. (First Semester) for the academic session 2023-24.
A notice signed by the registrar, professor W Chandrababu Singh stated that online applications are invited for admission to the courses in in Adult Continuing Education and Extension, Ancient History & Archaeology, Anthropology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Dance, Earth Science, Economics, Education, English and Cultural Studies, , Environmental Science, Fine Arts, Forestry, Geography, Hindi, History, Library and Information Science, Linguistics and LLM.
The courses also include Manipuri, Mass Communication, Master of Computer Application, Master of Vocational Course in Tourism & Hospitality Management, Master of Vocational Course in Entrepreneurship & Foreign Trade, Mathematics, National Security Studies, Philosophy, Physical Education & Sports Science, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, South East Asian Studies, Statistics, Yoga Science, Zoology and Bachelor of Teacher Education.
Interested candidates are informed to visit the Manipur University Website at (www.admission.manipuruniv.ac.in) and only the online applications will be accepted.
Before filling up of online application form, applicants should read the Prospectus and Instructions carefully and follow it strictly, it sated. An application fee of Rs 300 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs 200 for ST/SC/PWD candidates are to be paid online using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-Banking only, it mentioned.
It stated that 50 per cent of the intake will be based on CUET (NTA) Score while 50% of the intake will be based on MUET Score.
The examination centres are Manipur University, Assam University and Gauhati University (Candidates may choose the Exam Centres in order of preference, it mentioned. Candidates who want to apply for admission through CUET(NTA) Score should apply after the declaration of CUET results, it stated.
Online submissions will start on July 7 and last date for online submission is July 31, it added.
Meanwhile, another notification signed by RK Joteen Singh Deputy Registrar/Aca stated that online applications are invited for admission into Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (4 year Degree Course, BPES) for the academic session 2023-24.
Any candidate who passed 10+2 from recognized Board/Council/University in any discipline provided that those who secured at least 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate are eligible, it stated.
The candidates should be below 21 years of age on July 1 (Relaxable up to 23 years of age in case of SC/ST and foreign candidates), it mentioned.
Only unmarried women, widows or divorces without encumbrances, will be eligible for admission to BPES course, it further stated, adding application form will be available online at www.manipuruniv.ac.in.
