The three students who secured the third position in this year’s HSLC examination, 2023 have expressed their desire to venture into medical professions and serve society.
Ophelia Chanu Ngangom, daughter of Ngangom Basan singh and Ngangom Sandhyarani Devi of Kakyai Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur district highlighted that her aspiration to become a doctor stemmed from her desire to serve those in need in society.
“Ever since I was a child, I have always been envious of the crucial role that doctors played serving society; the care and love they put behind their service is what drew me into the medical profession,” she said.

Sanchitra Thokchom, daughter of Thokchom Birjt singh and Yanglem Premlata Devi of Thangmeiband Thingel Leikai lamented the escalation of the present crisis in Manipur and wished for peace and normalcy to be swiftly ushered in Manipur.
“The present crisis has been detrimental to the academic career of numerous students in the state as such I wish for swift restoration of peace and normalcy in the academic atmosphere of the state,” she said.
She highlighted that she wanted to endeavour in the medical profession as she wanted to serve the people and the country at large.
Meanwhile, Silvia Mutum, daughter of Mutum Bashu singh and Mutum Nanao devi of Bamdiar Makha Leikai stated that she wanted to become a renowned doctor in the state and serve the people.
I will continue my further studies in the science stream and try to crack the NEET exam, she added.
