Manipur class 10 board exam 2022 results out; 76% students pass

The Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) has declared the results of HSLC examination 2022 results. In all, 29,814 students cleared the examination.

The results of Class-10 board examination 2022 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM) was declared on Friday. The total pass percentage of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination was 76 per cent, according to BoSEM.

The HSLC exam results were announced in the presence of state Education Minister Th Basanta Kumar and officials of BOSEM at BOSEM conference hall, Imphal. BoSEM conducted the Class-10 board examination 2022 from April 5 to May 11, 2022 in 192 centres across the state.

As per official sources, as many as 39,233 candidates, including 20,087 boys and 19,146 girls, appeared in the HSLC examination 2022. Of them, 29,814 students cleared the examination. In all, 20,393 students got first division, 9,153 got second and 268 students got third division.

A total of 8,306 students who appeared for the Class 10 examination were from government schools, 1,611 from aided schools and as many as 29,316 students were from private-run schools in the state.

One student was expelled from the examination and the result was cancelled following the use of unethical means during the examination. Another 13 candidates were also debarred from taking the HSLC examinations for the next three years — 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The Class 10 HSLC examination results can be downloaded from the board’s official websites – www.manresults.nic.in and www.bosem.in.

In 2021, the board examinations were conducted through Alternative Assessment/ Evaluation Mechanism due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BoSEM cancelled the class 10 examination in 2021 due to the rising cases of COVID-19. However, the results have been made on the basis of an alternative evaluation criteria released by the board. There was no list of position holders and subject- wise toppers list.

Divisions were also allotted in accordance with the assessment made by the BOSEM from the 20 marks internal exam. The remaining 80 marks were from the periodical test taken by their respective schools. All 47,208 candidates enrolled for the examination cleared the exams after the assessment.

According to the results of 2021, 47.29 per cent (22,323) got first division, 44.65 per cent (21,079) got second division and 8.06 per cent (3806) in the third division. Nearly two-thirds of students belonging to private schools enrolled, appeared and passed, while 12,562 government school students and 2177 govt-aided school students also cleared exams.
