The Rotary Club Imphal has given Siksha Samaan Award to the headmaster in-charge of Khunthoknganbi Upper Primary School, Thongam Ajitkumar on Tuesday.

The award, including cash, citation and a traditional ‘lengyan phi’ were given in connection to International Literacy Day. Members of the Rotary club, Imphal went to the home of the headmaster in-charge by maintaining COVID-19 SOP, stated a release.
It is stated that every year, Rotary Club Imphal gives Nation Builders award to 10 primary school teachers with an aim to encourage teachers in building future generations.

Thongam Ajitkumar is among 927 teachers selected from Northeast states that recognised their devotion and contribution towards nation buildings, it added.
