The Manipur Educational Development and Research Centre (MEDRA) on Saturday highlighted the plight of students in strife-torn state, stating that the academic career of many students is at risk due to the prevailing conflict.
MEDRA stated in a release that the authorities concerned should initiate effective measures to end the unrest at the earliest considering the hardships being faced by the students and to prevent ruining their academic careers.
It also mentioned the science popularisation programme carried out by MEDRA in various schools across hill and valley regions of the state in an effort to instil hope among the weary students has been affected by the conflict. The programme was carried out under NCSTC Division, DST, Government of India, it stated.
It maintained that the programme aimed to inculcate scientific temperament among the students.
MEDRA further assured to extend assistance in ensuring that all the students of both hill and valley regions have access to quality education, it mentioned.
