The University of Delhi (DU) has released the schedule for Phase III of Common Seat Allocation System {CSAS) for admissions to undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2022 23.
According to Delhi University, the university will declare three rounds of regular CSAS allocation-cum admission rounds and spot admission rounds subject to availability of vacant seats.
"Before the announcement of the First CSAS round, the University will release a ‘Simulated List’ through which the candidates will be able to assess their probabilities of securing admission in a programme of a College. After the declaration of the ’Simulated List’, two more days will also be provided to the candidates to re-order their preferences," DU said in a statement.
DU has extended the last date of Phase I arid Phase II by two days. Phase I and Phase II of CSAS will now be open for candidates till 04.59 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the larger interest of the candidates who are still in the process of deciding their preferences.
"The candidates are advised to avail of this extension period and may revisit preferences available to them. They must refer to the college-Programme Preference counts and opt for programmes and colleges accordingly. Candidates may also add more programme+college combinations in the extended time period," DU stated.
The preferences saved by the candidate till 04.59 pm, Wednesday will get auto-locked by the system and will be treated as final for the allocation purpose, DU added.
DU further stated that a correction window is also being provided to the candidates who have already completed their Phase I / Phase II and wish to edit/ modify certain fields. The correction window will be open till 04.59 pm, Wednesday, DU stated, adding that the correction window is a one-time facility for OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, Minority, PwBD and CW candidates who wrish to re-upload their updated documents/certificates.
Only the documents certificates uploaded on the CSAS portal will be considered for the purpose of admission. The candidates will not be allowed to edit/modify their name, photograph, signature, gender, registered Email id, mobile number and category in the correction window, the university informed.

DU also stated that the university will be allocating 30 per cent extra seats for the SC/ ST candidates in the first CSAS allocation round.
"It has been observed from the registration statistics that there are ample opportunities for the candidates belonging to SC and ST category to take admission in the University of Delhi. The University encourages SC/ ST candidates who are desirous of seeking admission in University of Delhi to apply through CSAS Phase I and II," DU said while adivising the candidates to visit its official website admission.uod.ac.in for details.
