Naga Peoples’ Union Imphal (NPUI) on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister praying for an immediate declaration of Dhanamanjuri (DM) University BA 6th Semester Exam results 2023, which was conducted in July, 2023.
NPUI, in its memorandum, said that the DM University made an announcement allowing the students to appear the exam in their own respective districts in view of the prevailing ethnic conflict.
Following which, the students from Chandel and other hill districts wrote the exam at the district headquarters, it stated. It lamented that the results of students who appeared in the hill districts have not been announced till date even though results for valley students of DM University has already been declared.
It added that some of them are conditionally admitted to institutions even outside the state and highlighted the problems facing the students of forthcoming examinations and admissions. The students of hill districts are suffering and feel neglected, it asserted.
The Union urged the Chief Minister to look into the matter and take immediate action in the public interest at the earliest.
