The Jadonang Memorial College Teachers’ Association (JMCTA) on Wednesday fervently appealed to the state government to expedite the process for conversion of Jadonang Memorial college, Noney District Headquarters to a full-fledged college for the larger interest of the students’ and teachers’ community at the earliest time.
In a statement, the JMCTA expressed that it is aggrieved at the inordinate delay in conversion of JMC to a full-fledged college in respect of teachers serving under the college and for student’s welfare, stated a statement.
“The college has been running smoothly for many years. Our college has been upgraded to Aided College, and now requires it to be upgraded to full-fledged college,” it stated.
JMCTA is sure that the Government of Manipur will consider its plea this time. The association is working hard to mould the students with a hope and believe that Jadonang college will be one leading institution in Manipur. “Our efforts can be seen in the progress and results of our students since its establishment,” it mentioned.
It seems the process for conversion of college is on tortoise pace and JMCTA is compelled to construe that the interest of teachers’ and student’s community under this college has not been looked into with right earnestness, it mentioned.
“We put our trust and humbleness to turn our dream into a reality. Now with our effortless support and trust we believe that our college will be able to upgrade to full-fledged college,” it added.
“As we also know that Manipur govt. has no any discrimination towards any community both in hills and valley with regards to the overall development special in the field of education, which explain that education brings change and safeguards the interests of the people,” the statement said.
JMCTA wants the Government of Manipur to look into the matter at the earliest for the upgradation of the college, it added.
