'Central government teaching institutions should hold classes online’

The Manipur government on Tuesday said Central government teaching institutions in the state should immediately suspend all classes which require the physical presence of students.

The Manipur government on Tuesday announced that the Central government teaching institutions in the state should immediately suspend all teaching classes which require the physical presence of students and to continue the classes online.

An order issued by the Home department stated that the examinations which have already been scheduled may be held by strictly implementing Covid Appropriate Behaviour with all the arrangements of physical distancing, arrangements of sanitisation, thermal screening of teachers and students and others engaged in the conduct of the examination.

Suitable orders or arrangements for hostels (if any) may be worked out by the instruction authorities by keeping in view of covid safety and convenience of the boarders, it added.
