CCEF school provides free admission for displaced students

The sponsorship programme for the displaced students held at CCEF school on Monday distributed uniforms, textbooks and exercise books to the displaced students from Moreh and Yumnam Khunou.

The Child Care and Educational Foundation (CCEF), Wangjing Thoubal District under the theme “Help to Mankind” provided free admissions and 15 other sponsors extended uniforms and books to 13 displaced students.

The sponsorship programme for the displaced students held at CCEF school on Monday distributed uniforms, textbooks and exercise books to the displaced students from Moreh and Yumnam Khunou taking shelter in the relief camp opened at Wangjing Kodompokpi sports complex. The students are one in nursery class, two in class KG, three each in class I and II, one in class III, two each in class IV, V and one in class VII.

Former minister MNara, former DDO, ZEO Thoubal Tekcham Bikomdas, former principal of Heirok Higher Secondary school M.Rajmohon and the 15 sponsors attended the programme.

Speaking at the event, CCEF ki chairman L Jaishyam said that education is the backbone of a society but students failed to get a free education zone during the current unrest in the state since the last 75 days.

He appealed to the people of two warring communities to help in bringing back normalcy in the state as war brings no gain.
