The All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) has appealed the authorities concerned for careful evaluation of answer sheets of class X and XII examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM).
While appreciating the responsibility taken by BOSEM and COHSEM in conducting exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic, AMSU pointed out that sometimes mistakes are made in giving marks to students.
Saying that such instances dishearten and demoralise the students, AMSU urged organisers of examinations to prevent such circumstances by being cautious while checking examination papers.
The student body also appealed to the authorities concerned to enhance seat intake of premier institutions of Manipur. Every year the problem of seat unavailability for higher studies occurs and the state government should not take this issue lightly.
Preparation for increasing seat capacity of the institutions should be made before declaration of examination results, the AMSU said.
