All states, except Sikkim, in Northeast India have reported zero COVID-19 cases and no new fatalities due to the disease, official sources said.
According to the latest updated data issued by the Union Health Ministry, while all eight states in Northeast India continued to report no new COVID-19 positive cases and COVID-19 active cases remained nil in seven states, Sikkim recorded one active case as of Monday.
With no new cases and deaths, COVID-19 confirmed caseload remained unchanged at 7,46,100 in Assam, 2,38,964 in Mizoram, 1,39,922 in Manipur, 1,08,034 in Tripura, 96,782 in Meghalaya, 44,319 in Sikkim and 35,986 in Nagaland.
So far, the cumulative death toll remained 8,035 in Assam, 2149 in Manipur, 1624 in Meghalaya, 940 in Tripura, 782 in Nagaland, 726 in Mizoram and 499 in Sikkim.
