Seven new COVID-19 cases push Manipur's tally to 1,37,143

Of the seven COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday, four cases were reported from Imphal West, two from Thoubal and one case from Imphal East.

Manipur on Thursday recorded seven new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,143 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.9 per cent.

According to a release issued by the State COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the seven COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday, four cases were reported from Imphal West, two from Thoubal and one case from Imphal East.

The state also recorded five new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,977. The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent. Manipur now has 46 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 113 oxygen cylinders and zero B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,98,794 (first dose: 15,45,907 second dose: 11,85,796 precautionary dose: 67,091).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.57 per cent and for the second dose is 50.65 per cent, it mentioned.
