Now, home testing for COVID-19 allowed in Manipur

Registered pharmacies can apply for authorisation to the State Drug Controller of Health Services, Manipur through the concerned CMOs of the districts, stated an order issued by director of Health Services.

The Directorate of Health Services on Tuesday gave approval for use of home testing kit for COVID-19 in the state, which is approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Registered pharmacies may apply for authorisation to the State Drug Controller of Health Services, Manipur through the concerned CMOs of the districts, stated an order issued by director of Health Services.

It mentioned that the authorised pharmacies should maintain the list of buyers along with details such as name, address and verified mobile phone number, which should be shared with the concerned CMOs or DSOs on a daily basis.

Stating that the home testing should be conducted as per procedure described by manufacturer in its manual and as per the advisory issued by ICMR in this regard, the order advised all the users to download the home testing mobile app available in Google Playstore and Apple store and to register and upload the results.
