Arunachal Pradesh has the lowest number of COVID-19 active caseload among the Northeastern states of India, while Mizoram has the highest number of active cases with 3,099. With the recovery of 54,899 patients, the number of COVID-19 active cases in Arunachal Pradesh is 30, as per the updates posted by the Regional Outreach Bureau, Imphal on Twitter on Friday.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Arunachal Pradesh reached 55,299, of which 54,899 patients have recovered from the infection while 280 have died due to COVID-19, it mentioned.
In Mizoram, a total of 1,37,705 people have been infected with COVID-19, of which 1,34,095 people have recovered while 511 have died due to the infection.
Overall, Assam has logged the highest number of COVID-19 infections in Northeast India with 6,18,188 cases. Of these, 6,09,516 people have recovered while as many as 6,129 people have died due to COVID-19. Assam's COVID-19 active caseload stands at 2,543 as of Friday.
In Manipur, a total of 1,25,454 COVID-19 cases have been reported, of which 1,23,130 patients have recovered while the death toll is 1,985. There are 339 COVID-19 active cases in Manipur.
Tripura's COVID-19 confirmed tally reached 84,898, including 83,974 recoveries, 826 deaths and 98 active cases.
In Meghalaya, a total of 82,949 people have recovered from COVID-19 out of the total caseload of 84,643. As many as 1,476 people have died due to COVID-19 in the state while there are 218 active cases.
In Sikkim, the cumulative COVID-19 confirmed caseload is 32,396 of which 31,789 have recovered while the death toll is 405. Sikkim has 202 active COVID-19 cases.
Nagaland has logged 32,143 COVID-19 cases so far, of which 511 have died while 1,34,095 have recovered. The state has 30 active COVID-19 cases as of Friday morning.
