Mizoram, Lakshadweep remain state, UT with zero-COVID-19 death in India

Mizoram and Lakshadweep remain the only state and union territory of India which has not witnessed any COVID-19 fatalities so far, while rest of the country has reported a cumulative COVID-19 related death toll of .1,18,534.

With 50,129 new cases reported in a span of 24 hours, India's COVID-19 tally has reached 78,64,811, according to the latest updates by the Union Health Ministry.

As many as 62,077 persons were discharged and the cumulative number of recovered cases is 70,78,123. The recovery rate of the country has risen to 90.00 per cent.

The cumulative number of active cases is 6,68,154. Maharashtra followed by Andhra Pradesh remains in top 2 places of the worst-hit states in the country.
