Meghalaya on Saturday recorded 24 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the state's caseload to 13,845, while three more recoveries pushed the number of recovered cases to 13,596, Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said.
Dr War said that the 24 new cases as well as the three new recoveries are from East Khasi Hills district.
Of the total 13,845 COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya, 102 are active cases, while 147 persons have succumbed to the infection.
Among the active cases, East Khasi Hills has 70 cases, Ri Bhoi has 20, West Jaintia Hills has five, West Khasi Hills has four, East Jaintia Hills has two and West Garo Hills has one case.
Dr War further said that a total of 3,44,070 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state till date of which 3,30,225 samples tested negative.
Thirty-two persons are in institutional quarantine and 70 under home quarantine, Dr War said, adding that there are 89,599 entrants from outside the state.
