Manipur reports zero new COVID-19 positive cases, zero death

This is the second time the state reported zero COVID-19 case since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Manipur on Wednesday recorded zero new COVID-19 positive case yet again freezing the state's tally to 1,37,217 and the death toll also remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, the state reported zero new recoveries, confining the number of recovered cases at 1,35,080. The recovery rate is 98.44 per cent. Manipur now has 17 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 300 oxygen cylinders and 92 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,35,752 (first dose: 15,55,074 second dose: 12,01,459 precautionary dose: 79,219).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.66 per cent and for the second dose is 51.24 per cent, it mentioned.
