Manipur reports six more COVID-19 positive cases, zero death

Manipur in Wednesday reported six more COVID-19 positive cases and zero death, official sources said.

According to the latest update by the state Health department, of the new Covid-19 cases, one was from Imphal West, two from Tamenglong  anc three from Thoubal.

Consequently, the positivity rate moved to 0.07 per cent.

The new positive cases pushed the state's total confirmed cases to 1,37,057, while the death toll stood at 2,120, according to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room.

The state also recorded eight new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,859. The recovery rate is 98.40 per cent. Manipur now has 78 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 236 Oxygen Cylinders and 111 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,70,337 (first dose: 15,29,672 second dose: 11,76.002 precautionary dose: 64,663).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.44 per cent and for the second dose is 50.24 per cent, it mentioned.
