Manipur reports no Covid-19 deaths for straight 18 days

Manipur reported seven new Covid-19 positive cases and no Covid-19 deaths for straight 18 days.

Manipur on Monday reported seven new Covid-19 positive cases and no Covid-19 deaths for straight 18 days so far, official sources said. 

The state's COVID-19 tally rose to 1,37,126, including 2,120 deaths.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, three new COVID-19 cases were from Imphal West, two from Imphal East, and one each fromBishnupur and Kakching.

The state also recorded three new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,961. The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent. Manipur now has 45 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 286 D-type oxygen cylinders and 92 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,92,007 (first dose: 15,42,043 second dose: 11,83,571 precautionary dose: 66,393).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.55 per cent and for the second dose is 50.56 per cent, it mentioned.
