Manipur reports 14 new COVID-19 positive cases, tally at 1,36,976

No COVID-19 death was reported in Manipur on Saturday and the death toll remained at at 2,116.

Manipur on Saturday recorded 14 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,36,976 while the death toll remained at 2,116 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.3 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, two new COVID-19 cases were reported each from Imphal West, Imphal East and Thoubal another four cases from Senapati and one each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul.

The state also recorded 20 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,767. The recovery rate is 98.39 per cent. Manipur now has 93 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 223 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 65 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,47,740 (first dose: 15,21,590 second dose: 11,63.358 precautionary dose: 62,792).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.28 per cent and for the second dose is 49.69 per cent, it mentioned.
