A COVID Care Centre/Isolation ward was inaugurated in Churachandpur which has so far reported more than 129 COVID-19 positive cases till date. The centre is the third one in Churachandpur district.
The first isolation ward was at the campus of Churachandpur district hospital which has a capacity of 30 people. One was opened at NIELIT while another was opened at Lamka TD Block complex Churachandpur with a capacity to accommodate 130 COVID-19 positive patients.
Inaugurating the centre, DC of Churachandpur Payan Yadav flanked by the SP, CMO and others thanked the frontline workers for their tireless efforts. They further expressed their gartitude to the director of NIELIT and his additional DC. He further asked the public to adhere to the rules and maintain social distancing and stated that with 129 cases and recovery cases of 75, Churachandpur has been doing really well. The result came after more than 6,800 tests were conducted.
The DC of Churachandpur also said that inauguration of the centre got delayed as protocols for containment had to be followed. The CMO Dr VC Pau Tonsing told that they were now using the district hospital for symptomatic people and said that those arriving will be tested on the fifth day of their arrival.
