Manipur logs two more COVID-19 cases, active caseload drops to seven

Manipur recorded five new COVID-19 recoveries on Friday.

Manipur on Friday reported two new COVID-19 cases, taking the cumulative number of positive cases in the state to 1,39,906, including a death toll of 2,149, official sources said.

As per the sources, a total of 93 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Friday, of which two returned positive for the infection. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.2 per cent. Manipur has so far conducted 16,61,976 COVID-19 tests.

According to a release issued by COVID-19 Common Control Room on Friday, the two COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Imphal West district. However, no deaths were reported during the last 24 hours from any part of the state.

The number of COVID-19 active cases dropped to seven as five more patients recovered from the infection on Friday. The state's COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.46 per cent.

The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered on November 17 was 355. The cumulative doses administered so far reached 32,60,930, including 16,48,105 first dose, 13,35,530 second dose and the 2,77,295 precautionary dose.
