Manipur logs seven new COVID-19 cases

Manipur now has 30 COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.

Manipur on Saturday reported seven new COVID-19 cases and zero death cases, pushing the state's total positive cases to 1,37,281 and confining the death toll at 2,120. Of the seven positive cases, four were reported from Imphal West, two from Imphal East and one from Bishnupur. The positivity rate is 10.9 per cent.

According to the latest update by the state health department, a total of 64 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Saturday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,14,823 COVID-19 tests.

Zero new COVID-19 recoveries were also recorded in the state on Saturday. The number of recovered cases increased at 1,35,131 and the recovery rate is 98.43 per cent. Manipur now has 30 COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.

Meanwhile, a total of 16 oxygen cylinders and eight B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of June 30.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 29,64,519 (first dose: 15,93,319 second dose: 12,59,233 precautionary dose: 1,11,967).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.97 per cent and for the second dose is 53.19 per cent, it mentioned.
