Are you wearing and disposing PPE suits the right way? A one-day programme conducted in two districts of Manipur on Tuesday gave awareness on donning and doffing as well as disposal of personal protective equipment (PPE) the right way.
For Imphal East district, the programme was conducted at the conference hall of superintendent of police. It was jointly organised by ‘Mother's Care Hospital & Research Institute’ and ‘Imphal Heart Hospital’.
Dr Ratan of ‘Mother's Care Hospital & Research Institute’ and Dr Sonamani of ‘Imphal Heart Hospital’ attended the function as resource persons.
During the ocassion, 100 PPE suits were donated to the police personnel of the district through SP, Imphal East, Jogeschandra Haobijam by M/S Khumanthem, Sagolband Moirang Leirak.
Dr Ratan gave an overview of the pandemic and briefed the police officers on the need for providing structural training regarding the use of PPE. Dr Sonamani briefed on the symptoms and preventive measures to be taken while medical director Dr Asit Deb Nath of Imphal Heart Hospital and his team gave a demonstration on the proper ways of using PPE.
Superintendent of police, Imphal West, K Meghachandra Singh expressed gratitude and thanked the organising team for the kind assistance and the valuable deliberation on COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the same programme was also conducted at the recreation hall of Imphal West district police by the two hospitals.
