India's daily COVID-19 tally continues to drop

India's COVID-19 active caseload dropped to  47,176, which is 0.11 per cent of the country's total positive cases of 4,44,97,999.

India has been witnessing ebbing of COVID-19 for the past few weeks, registering a fall in its record of daily positive cases and fatalities, and increase in the recovery rate.

Its daily COVID-19 positive cases dropped to 5,221, while a total of 5,975 more recoveries were registered, pushing the recovery rate to 98.71 per cent, as per the latest update.

According to the 8 am bulletin of the Union Health Ministry on Monday, the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) reached 4,39,25,239 as of Monday.

Consequently, the COVID-19 active caseload dropped to  47,176, which is 0.11 per cent of the country's total positive cases of 4,44,97,999.

The death toll increased to 5,28,165 with 11 more succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours.

India's Weekly Positivity Rate currently recorded is 1.72 per cent and the Daily Positivity Rate is reported to be 2.82 per cent.

The country's COVID-19 vaccination coverage too has increased to 2,15,26,13,049 as per provisional reports till 7 am Monday.

The COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years has so far covered 4,06,32,848) adolescents with the first dose of the vaccine.

A total of 1,84,965 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. India has so far conducted 88,95,93,391 cumulative tests.
