India recorded 635 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths, including nine deaths reconciled by Kerala, according to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday.
The number of active cases dropped to 7,175 on Thursday. Active cases constitute 0.2 per cent of the country's total positive cases, according to the Health Ministry website.
The death toll climbed to 5,30,546 while the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country reached 4,46,67,311. Two deaths were reported from Delhi and Maharashtra respectively in the last 24 hours while nine deaths were reconciled by Kerala, the Health Ministry stated.
The cumulative number of recovered cases increased to 4,41,29,590 with 1,010 new recoveries. The recovery rate is 98.80 per cent while the fatality rate was recorded at 1.19 per cent as on Thursday.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 2,19,83,58,500, as per the ministry.
