Daily COVID-19 positivity rate up 2.1 pc in Manipur

Manipur recorded one new COVID-19 case on Saturday.

Manipur on Saturday reported COVID-19 positivity rate of 2.1 per cent with one new COVID-19 case and zero death cases, pushing the state's total positive cases to 1,37,245 and confining the death toll to 2,120. The single COVID-19 positive case recorded on Saturday is from Kangpokpi district, according to the latest update by the state health department.

A total of 47 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Saturday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,14,040 COVID-19 tests.

One new COVID-19 recovery was recorded in the state on Saturday. The number of recovered cases increases to 1,35,123 and the recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has two COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.

Meanwhile, a total of 86 oxygen cylinders and 11 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of June 17.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 29,38,753 (first dose: 15,85,771 second dose: 12,49,145 precautionary dose: 1,03,837).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.94 per cent and for the second dose is 52.84 per cent, it mentioned.
