Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu reports lowest active cases in India

COVID-19 active cases in Andaman and Nicobar dropped to 16 and Lakshadweep has zero active Covid-19 cases as of Tuesday.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu has reported the lowest total active caseload of 10 among all states and UTs in the country, while the active cases in Andaman and Nicobar dropped to 16 and Lakshadweep has zero active Covid-19 cases as of Tuesday.

According to the latest update by the Union Home Ministry, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu reported one new COVID-19 positive case while Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported three new cases on Monday.

Meanwhile, the number of single-day cumulative COVID-19 positive stood at 8,813 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, and the daily death toll was 29, as per the early morning reports on Tuesday.

India’s active caseload now stands at 1,11,252. Active cases constitute 0.25 per cent of the country's total Positive Cases.

The country's cumulative COVID-19 confirmed cases reached 4,42,77,194, including 4,36,38,844 recoveries and 5,27,098 deaths. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.56 per cent with 15,040 more recoveries.

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has covered 2,08,31,24,694 beneficiaries as per provisional reports till 7 am Tuesday through 2,76,96,728 sessions.

India has so far conducted over 88.06 Cr (88,06,92,503) cumulative tests. Following it, the weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 4.79 per cent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 4.15 per cent.
