A cleanliness drive at the Wangjing River was launched by the Fidam Foundation, Manipur head office, Wangjing along with the Pioneer Club, Wangjing Hodamba Maning Leikai on Sunday.
During the drive the Fidam Foundation along with the members of Pioneer Club, Wangjing Hodamba Maning Leikai carried out the cleaning of the Wangjing River along the Wangjing Hodamba Maning Leikai.
Fidam Foundation president Haobam Robindro said that the initiative was taken up by the foundation to conduct the river cleanliness drive in collaboration with the local clubs and CSOs. He also extended acknowledgement to the volunteers of the Pioneer Club for their support in the drive. With the motto of ‘Save River, Save Water’, a Wangjing River Protection Committee will be formed soon, he added.
