A Writer’s Platform Manipur (a unique literacy of cultural organisation) was formed on Sunday at the Manipur Press Club to give a platform to writers of Manipur to write with research in fields of Manipur’s culture and plants among others etc.
Speaking to the media, Writer’s Platform Manipur secretary general, KB Ingaremba, said that in Manipur many writers published many books and thousands of books are in the state. The writer’s platform is trying to give a platform to young writers, particularly those who want to write with research work on a specific field or topics, he added.

In the state various books are there, though the books with deep research and analysis that are preferably able to be used in future are less. It says that the state is blessed with natural gifted resources, but it will remain as spoken words if it has no records, KB Ingaremba said.
"The writer’s platform has been established for research writers to do research on the state's available resources like plants, culture and others," he added.

The programme was attended by former -minister art and culture, L Jayentakumar; Writer’s Platform Manipur patron, retired chairperson MSSWB, RK Nayansana Devi; SM University professor Saratchandra Longjam and ministry of culture (EXCC Kolkata) member, Thingbaijam Swarankumar.
A book ‘Poknapham Eigi’ was also launched during the programme.
