Travelling book fair launched

The six-day event, which will be held till Thursday, aims to foster a reading community among the people of Manipur.

Book Culture Northeast launched the second edition of its ‘Travelling Book Fair’ in Imphal on Saturday.

The book fair was organised at Manipur State Film Development Society MSFDS courtyard at Palace Compound. The six-day event, which will be held till Thursday, aims to foster a reading community among the people of Manipur.

Speaking on the sidelines, Book Culture North East book curator Saikhom Keneshore said the goal of the book fair is to promote a vibrant community of readers, where people can come together to share ideas, learn and grow. He further urged everyone to explore and browse the vast array of books, totaling thousands, at the fair.

The book fair is part of a larger initiative to promote the reading community, with plans to travel to various districts across the state, to reach a broader audience and make quality literature accessible to all.  

Wide range of books are made available at unbeatable prices. The fair also introduced a ‘book-by-weight’ offer, where selected titles are available for just Rupees 399 per kilogram. Additionally, it also provides ‘Buy 2 Get 1 Free’ deals to the customers on a wide range of publications.
