Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad (BMSS) on Tuesday declared that the Nilima Sinha memorial award, 2022 for Manipuri Literature and Culture will be awarded to Manipuri writer Sahitya Academy Awardee Kshetri Bir.
A statement by BMSS president Ak Sheram stated that the Nilima Sinha memorial award, 2022 will be awarded to the Manipuri writer Kshetri Bir from Kakching Sumak Leikai as an acknowledgement to his works for the development of Manipuri literature.
BMSS had proposed the International Manipuri Literary Conference to organise the award ceremony at Sylhet in Bangladesh on November 4, it continued. The award will include a certificate, ‘Innaphi’, a crest and cash of 10,000 Taka (Bangladesh currency), along with free round trip travel fares for two people, the statement informed.
