A book written by Mangangcha Thoudam Laiba 'Hao Meitei Haoleipak Kangleipak' was released on Friday at the Manipur Press Club in Imphal.

The book released function was organised by Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL).
The book explores the geographical and historical aspects of Manipur, with specific focus on Hao and Meitei communities and region of Haoleipak, an ancient name of Manipur, said writer MT Laiba.

The book aims to provide historical understanding of origin of Kangleipak from a geographical perspective, said the writer.
The released function was attended by retired professor W Nabakumar, former superintendent of Archeology Okram Kumar, professor Jugindro Kangujam of MU.
