‘Anganba Manipuri Sahityagi Liklu Pareng’ released

‘Anganba Manipuri Sahityagi Liklu Pareng’, containing 17 short stories, will be released in three countries by the Indian, Sweden and London based publishing house Red’Shine Publication, co-author of the book Naorem Sanatomba said.

Naorem Sanatomba and Konthoujam Bimola’s book entitled ‘Anganba Manipuri Sahityagi Liklu Pareng’ was released at Youth Hostel, Khuman Lampak, Imphal East on Monday.

A release stated that the event was attended by Padma Shri awardee Naba Warepa, retired professor of MB College Chingsu Thoiba, DDK Imphal retired programme director Manibabu Likmabam, writer Sharat Thokchom, Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur secretary Rakesh Naorem, and PAWF Guwahati Branch life member KC Mangang along with other prominent figures.

Speaking on the occasion, Padma Shri awardee Naba Warepa stated that writers, artistes and sculptures have the power and responsibility to preserve the contemporary civilisation for the future generation to look back on and appreciate.

He added that as writers stand on the highest pedestal from other artistes, they have the responsibility to pave the paths for future artists to follow. Naorem Sanatomba and Konthoujam Bimola’s short stories book ‘Anganba Manipuri Sahityagi Liklu Pareng’ will inspire the future generations, he continued.

Anganba Manipuri Sahityagi Liklu Pareng’ will be released in three countries by the Indian, Sweden and London based publishing house Red’Shine Publication, mentioned co-author of the book Naorem Sanatomba. He stated the Meiteilon language is on-par with other languages of India and the 3,200 years old Meiteilon language will expand towards other countries.

Co-author of ‘Anganba Manipuri Sahityagi Liklu Pareng’ Konthoujamb Bimola said that the book containing 17 short stories had been published in Meetei Mayek and Bengali scripts. The book will help the research scholars of relevant fields, she added.
