‘The Fainting Lamp’ premiered

Victor Thoudam’s play ‘The Fainting Lamp’ was premiered at Akhoka Studio in Kontha Khabam Chumbreithong, Imphal East on March 21.

The play was premiered after a theater workshop of understanding ‘physical devising’ was held under the Chief Ministergi Artistes sing gi Tenbang (CMAST) scheme initiated by the state government, stated a release on Saturday.

The play, performed by Akhoka Theatre, was inspired from Saratchand Thiyam’s poem ‘Itanagar’, it said. It retrospects the current onslaught in the natural resources like land, river, forest, hills and indigenous culture of the people, it added.
