A solo exhibition under the title, ‘Saknaiba Singi Mitlu Pareng’ which will feature the works of artist Thoithoiba Mayanglangbam will be launched on October 17 at Sumang Leela Shanglen.
Speaking about the event, Sakyeng Mingsel president Laimayum Shantikumar said that the event is being organised by Yelhou Yangkok in collaboration with Sakyel Mingsel.
The exhibition will present artworks, photographs, and written narratives celebrating many individuals, with a special emphasis on Thoithoiba Mayanglangbam’s work.
It will focus on reviving the public memory of unsung heroes and inspiring future generations to recognise the value of their contributions, he added.
The exhibition is aimed to honor individuals who made significant contributions to society but whose efforts have remained unknown and forgotten over time, Shantikumar said.
“This upcoming event follows successful exhibitions at Imphal and a similar event hosted in Lakhipur, Cachar earlier this year,” he informed.
