An annual production of Sangeet Academy Kakching, namely ‘Rare Taals of Nata Sankirtana’ was shown at Radha Damudhar Mandir, Kakching Sumak Leikai on Sunday.
The event witnessed the presence of former Education minister Manipur government N Nimai as chief guest, vice president, Sangeet Academy Kakching Ksh Angangjao as president and Principal, Sangeet Academy Kakching Ksh Godhadar as guest of honour respectively.
During the event, two rare genres of Nata Sankirtana which were preserved by the forefathers with much care, namely ‘Til Taal Achouba Nata Sankirtana’ and ‘Khalshang Taal Nata Sankirtana’ were showcased.
The first one was presented by Yengkhom Birlal and his party while the second one was presented by Irom Nabadheep and his party.
