New Production of Seikonabi Mordur Kokil showcased

The new production of Seikonabi Mordur kokil of CRTC is being aimed at safeguarding and preserving this genre of Nata Sankirtana, says Laishram Shamananda, secretary CRTC.

Seikonabi Mordur Kokil’, a new production of the Cultural Research and Training Centre (CRTC) Heirok part (iii), Thoubal district, was showcased at the auditorium of the CRTC on Sunday.

Laishram Subol, retired ZEO, Laishram Shyam, president CRTC Heirok and Laishram Shamu, cultural activist attended the event as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Giving his keynote address, Laishram Shamananda, secretary CRTC, expressed worries over the present day tragic scenario of the aged-old Seikonabi Mordur kokil style of performing Nata Sankirtana.

He added that the new production of Seikonabi Mordur kokil of CRTC is being aimed at safeguarding and preserving this genre of Nata Sankirtana. Several cultural activists attended the event.
