A theater repertory cum training and research centre, ‘Khenjonglang,’ presented its play, ‘Chumthang Makhong’, at JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal on Thursday.
The workshop cum production programme was organised under the aegis of Chief Minister Artistsing gi Tengbang (CMAT) scheme, State department of arts and culture.
The playwright is retired civil servant Kangjam Radhakumar Singh while Sanabam Thaninleima directed and designed it.
The play deals with the existential crisis faced by men and the search for an answer.
Vice chancellor, Manipur University of Culture (MUC), professor Paonam Gunindro; retired associate professor, Moirangthem Modhu Singh and deputy director (Programme), department of arts and culture, government of Manipur, G Dharmadas Singh attended the function as chief guest, president and guest of honor respectively.
Later, the play ‘Chumthang Makhong’ was presented by Khenjonglang artistes.
