Tripura has lowest COVID-19 active cases among Northeast states

Mizoram has the highest cumulative number of COVID-19 active cases among all Northeast states.

Tripura today has the lowest COVID-19 active cases among Northeast states with a tally of 367 with 37 new positive cases reported, as per the latest update by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Sunday.

The state so far has 83,840 COVID-19 confirmed cases, including 82,665 total recoveries and 808 COVID-19 deaths with a death rate of 0.96 per cent.

Mizoram has the highest cumulative number of COVID-19 active cases among all Northeast states. Today, it has 14,456 active cases that pushed its total confirmed cases to 79,171. Its death toll rose to 259 and the total number of recoveries reached 64,456 as of Sunday.

Assam has the second highest COVID-19 active cases at 5,063 that pushed the total confirmed cases to 5,97,709 as of Sunday, the highest among all states in Northeast India. The state’s death toll climbed to 5,790 with two more deaths, while 5,86,856 people from across the state have recovered so far.

Manipur’s COVID-19 active cases rose and confirmed cases rose to 2,180 and 1,18,261 respectively. The state’s death toll mounted to 1,830, while the number of recoveries reached 1,14,251, as per the latest update.

Meghalaya has a total of 79,325 COVID -19 confirmed cases, including 1,876 active cases, 1,374 deaths and 76,075 total recoveries so far.

Nagaland today has 30,840 COVID -19 confirmed cases, including 491 active cases, 653 deaths and 29,696 total recoveries.

Arunachal Pradesh has 54,060 COVID -19 confirmed cases, including 461 active cases, 271 deaths and 53,328 total recoveries.

Sikkim today has 30,893 COVID -19 confirmed cases, including 728 active cases, 379 and 29,786 total number of recoveries, according to the updates by the Union Health Ministry.
