The education department of KSO general headquarters on Saturday felicitated professor N Lokendra Singh on being appointed as the new vice-chancellor of Manipur University.
KSO Education secretary Thangmoi Haokip on behalf of the student body called on the newly appointed vice-chancellor of Manipur University to felicitate him at the latter’s office chamber.
According to Thangmoi, they had discussed the non-NET scholarship for scholars under Manipur University affiliated colleges supervisors and issues related to the academic atmosphere in the Manipur University campus.
He said that the newly appointed vice-chancellor assured to look into the grievances and take possible measures for the scholars of the university.
He continued that conducting a national conference webinar, etc., in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) is also discussed with the new vice-chancellor during the meeting.
Thangmoi Haokip appreciated and lauded the initiative and efforts of Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) for the welfare of the student community in Manipur University.
