Swachhata Hi Seva launched in Tengnoupal

The launch event was organised by the PHED Tengnoupal, which was represented by executive engineer Th Sarat Singh, and his officials.

As part of the commemorations of 75 years of India’s independence, Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal  Naorem Praveen Singh launched the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva, 2021’ from his headquarters on Wednesday.

This movement will include cleaning of public places, plastic waste collection, door-to-door waste collection, and construction of compost and soak pits, stated a release. The launch event was organised by the PHED Tengnoupal, which was represented by executive engineer Th Sarat Singh, and his officials, it stated.

The NGO Center for Women and Girls, which is the Implementing Support Agency under Jal Jeevan Mission for Tengnoupal district, also attended this event alongside other youth from the local communities, it added.
