A havildar of 38-AR Motbung Post died while four others were injured after its bullet proof vehicle (MN-03/0620) met with an accident at around 7 pm on Sunday.

The accident, which was reported to be self-caused, took place at NH-2 Kalapahar under Kangpokpi Police Station.
The deceased havildar has been identified as Nar Bahadur Lohar of Phulbari Village, Dhemaji district, Assam. The four injured personnel are Nb/Sub KS Luingam; WO Hareram Thakur; havildar Talip Hussain and havildar CC Rawa of 38-AR Motbung Post.

They were admitted to the Military Hospital located at Leimakhong by Kangpokpi Police. A case has been registered regarding the incident. Post mortem of the deceased was conducted at RIMS.
