CM Biren calls meeting with three striking employees’ bodies

The meeting will be conducted at CM’s secretariat on Tuesday at 5 pm.

Chief Minister N Biren has invited the representatives of three Secretariat employees’ bodies to discuss the ongoing indefinite cease-work strike.

A letter has been issued by the Finance department (Pay Implementation Cell) signed by under-secretary (FD/PIC) A Heera Singh addressing to the president/general secretary of three secretariat employees’ bodies,  including Manipur Government Services’ Federation; Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association and Manipur Secretariat (non-ministerial) Drivers’ Association.

In the letter, it mentioned that the meeting will be conducted at CM’s secretariat on Tuesday at 5 pm. The meeting will be in continuation of the previous meeting held on September 2 with the state Finance minister in-charge in which an amicable solution was not brought though positive response was made verbally from the government side.

It also mentioned that to make the meeting convenient and start on time, the number of representatives to attend the meeting will be restricted to eight persons.
