NSCN-IM on anauthorised demand of taxes

'Unathorised activities such as demanding taxes from the state government and private construction labourers in various parts of Nagalim will not be tolerated in any manner'

The NSCN-IM said on Wednesday that “unathorised activities” such as demanding “taxes” using the name of the former (GPRN) from the “state government and private construction labourers in various parts of Nagalim” will not be tolerated in any manner. As such, “anyone found indulging in such wrongful demand shall be dealt with as per the Azha of the government” (GPRN), said a statement of the NSCN-IM. Hence, all the “regional authorities” of the NSCN-IM are directed to take notice of this directive, the statement added.

The NSCN-IM then said that it has received complaints from different sources that there are individuals using the name of “GPRN demanding taxes from the state government and private construction laborers in various parts of Nagalim”. The statement also said, “We have taken a strong exception to this kind of anti-social elements that loom at large”. It then added, “Therefore, it is informed to all the Region Central Administrative Officers (CAOs), Caretaker CAOs, Sub-Region EOs, POs and president of KTU that such unauthorized activities will not be tolerated in any manner”.
